What is Reichian Bodywork?
Reichian Bodywork is a breath-based transformative practice. The method reduces the chronic tension that restricts our potential and holds limiting behaviors in place. Reichian Bodywork creates profound changes in character, behavior, experience, and awareness by dissolving our unconscious defensive patterns and enabling a natural, relaxed, flowing bodily experience.
The experience of Reichian Bodywork can be intense and profound, as well as extremely relaxing and liberating. We aim to teach the body how to throw off tension, removing the lingering symptoms of stress, anxiety, and trauma, and opening ourselves up to new possibilities.
The fundamentals of Reichian Bodywork are based on techniques developed by Wilhelm Reich, Israel Regardie, Christopher S. Hyatt, Jack Willis (author of Reichian Therapy: The Technique, For Home Use) and Alexander Lowen. The method shares similarities with Radical Undoing, Reichian Therapy, orgonomic therapy, and bioenergetics. However, this presentation is entirely new and unique to the instructor.
Who is the instructor?
I began training in the bodywork in 2006, and have been working with clients and leading workshops since 2014. I have been engaged in a considerable amount of experimentation and development with Reichian Bodywork over many years, learning missing pieces from other teachers as I went. This amounts to thousands of hours of practical experience over 13 years.
I aim to help you make significant changes to the brain and body and transform your life into a bold adventure. Together we create dramatic changes in your behavior, experience, and awareness by dissolving unconscious defensive patterns. I also show you how to massively reduce stress and anxiety, making you more effective in all areas of life.
I consider the bodywork to be a self-healing practice. This principle and ethical framework

Who is Reichian Bodywork for?
Reichian Bodywork is transformative in nature and can be incredibly powerful. It suits people who are open to an adventurous experience and can tolerate some uncertainty and discomfort.
I only work with clients who are teachable — that is, they can follow instructions, observe what happens, report results, and are open to feedback. (Frankly, this rules out most humans.)
If you have a serious untreated psychological condition or an uncontrolled addiction, please focus on handling those pressing issues first, and then we’ll talk. In Reichian Bodywork we take a transformative approach, rather than a therapeutic one.
Reichian Bodywork will be a good fit for someone who wants to get deeper into themselves than is possible through mere talking, and who wants to deal with their problems at the lowest level — in the tensions and movements of the body. Clients should be willing to discover a sense of immense personal freedom and massive organic power.
What happens in a Reichian Bodywork session?
Each session lasts 90 minutes.
After a brief discussion, we will do some warm-up exercises together.
Then, you’ll be invited to lay down and will be instructed in proper breathing.
Once you’re warmed up, we’ll begin work on the physical exercises, chosen specifically to suit your body’s current situation.
Finally, I’ll guide you in the passive session — a special meditation that helps to integrate the bodywork.
Homework may be offered to help further what we achieved in the session.
