What is Reichian Bodywork?
Reichian Bodywork is a breathwork-based transformative practice that seeks to reduce the chronic tensions that restrict our potential, holding our limiting behavior patterns in place.
Our goal is to make profound changes in character, behavior, experience, and awareness by dissolving unconscious defensive patterns and establishing a natural, relaxed, flowing bodily experience.
We accomplish this through a series of special movements and breathing techniques, in addition to meditation and cognitive work. The experience of Reichian Bodywork can be intense and profound, as well as extremely relaxing and liberating.
Our aim is to teach the body how to throw off tension, removing the lingering physical symptoms of stress, anxiety, and trauma, and opening ourselves up to new possibilities.
The fundamentals of Reichian Bodywork are based on techniques developed by Wilhelm Reich, Israel Regardie, Christopher S. Hyatt, Jack Willis (author of Reichian Therapy: The Technique, For Home Use) and Alexander Lowen. It shares similarities with Radical Undoing, Reichian Therapy, orgonomic therapy and bioenergetics.
However, the presentation and delivery is entirely new and unique to this instructor.

What are the influences on Reichian Bodywork?
Reichian Bodywork is the culmination of over 12 years of experience, including 4 years guiding others through the process. The practice is an integration of Reichian Therapy and Radical Undoing, drawing on the work of Wilhelm Reich, Israel Regardie, Christopher S. Hyatt, Jack Willis, and Alexander Lowen.
What results can I expect?
Although everybody’s experience is different, and there are no guarantees, my clients tend to undergo enormous changes in their lives.
For example, they may deal with stress more easily and begin to have a whole lot more fun. There is frequently a new sense of inspiration and expression of creativity. Many of my clients become bolder and stand their ground more, becoming more adventurous. Often they are more likely to have profound “spiritual” and “psychic” experiences than before they began this work. My clients often report that their tolerance for shallow endeavors is reduced and that there’s a lot more space and freedom in their inner lives. Frequently my clients report that the bodywork leads to a series of shocking self-realizations and feel they are no longer the person they used to be.
Who is Reichian Bodywork for?
Reichian Bodywork is transformative in nature and can be incredibly powerful. It suits people who are open to an adventurous experience and can tolerate some uncertainty and discomfort.
I only work with clients who are teachable — that is, they can follow instructions, observe what happens in themselves, report their results and are able to listen to my feedback. (Frankly, this rules out most humans.)
If you have a serious untreated psychological condition or an uncontrolled addiction, please focus on handling those pressing issues first, and then we’ll talk. In Reichian Bodywork we take a transformative approach, rather than a therapeutic one.
Reichian Bodywork will be a good fit for someone who wants to get deeper into themselves than is possible through mere talking, and who wants to deal with their problems at the lowest level — in the tensions and movements of the body. Clients should be willing to discover a sense of immense personal freedom and massive organic power.
What happens in a Reichian Bodywork session?
Each session lasts between 60 and 90 minutes.
After a brief discussion, we will do some warm-up exercises together.
Then, you’ll be invited to lay down and will be instructed in proper breathing.
Once you’re warmed up, we’ll begin work on the physical exercises, chosen specifically to suit your body’s current situation.
Finally, I’ll guide you in the passive session – a special meditation that helps to integrate the bodywork.
Homework may be offered to help further what we achieved in the session.
